Rauzan is located in the heart of the vineyards at 35km from Bordeaux and and 13 from St Emilion the famous wine town which has been listed a Unesco World Heritage site. Arcachon and the Dune du Pilat are at less than 1h30 drive from the campsite. The proximity of the Dordogne river and the natural sites all around invite sports activities such as jogging, mountain biking and canoeing. The Santiago de Compostella route (St. James' Way) has endowed the region with beautiful castles, churches and chapels. The village of Rauzan has been built around its 13th century medieval castle. In and around the village you can visit the Celestine cave and subterranean river in a speleo way, the last mushroom cave in Gironde and the largest wine cooperative enterprise in France including wine-tasting. In April and October, the antique market with some 140 antique and brocante store ownersof Ranzan welcomes more than 10000 visitors.

    Owners since 2014, Thom and Pelagie welcome you to Camping du Vieux Château, situated at the foot of a medieval castle that adds a touch of magic to this quiet and green site. The site is just 200m walk from the village of Rauzan in Gironde. Camping du Vieux Château is an independent campsite member of _Campings La Via Natura_ and labelled _Camping Qualité_, _Qualité Tourisme_ and _Vignobles et Découvertes_. Located at 35 km from Bordeaux and 13km from Saint Emilion in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, this charming campsite is a central point to discover the treasures of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (Bordeaux, Arcachon, Bergerac, Dordogne river, Dune du Pilat…) In a park of 2.6ha, large and semi-shady pitches for tents, caravans and motor homes are greatly appreciated by tourists who enjoy tranquility nature. The rental of mobile homes, cottages, bungalow tents, perched tents, l'Alcôve the ready-to-camp and Le Truck an atypical authentic is also possible for a quiet and pleasant stay. The large heated swimming pool and the paddling pool welcome young and old, the sauna is accessible all season long. The campsite is a family campsite par excellence with activities and excursions for everyone. During the high season, the snack-bar is open every night so you can eat and drink on site while on Thursday evenings you can enjoy festive evenings in a friendly atmosphere, ending at 22:00 to ensure a quiet night.
